Mean Green Junk Removal recently teamed up with the Town of Shady Shores to remove over 150 pounds of debris from a large illegal dump site along South Shady Shores Road. The cleanup not only beautified the area but also revived a beloved lakefront fishing spot for local families to enjoy.

- Date: July 2025
- Location: South Shady Shores Road, near Town Hall, Shady Shores, TX
- Partners: Town of Shady Shores – Katie Klein, Community Relations/Code Enhancement
- MGJR Team Members: Trevan Fenner (Owner)

The Story
“Growing up in this area, we used to go up and down West and South Shady Shores Road all the time,” said Trevan Fenner, owner of Mean Green Junk Removal. “Right next to the Town Hall there’s an awesome fishing spot. As kids, we would walk along the lake for hours. It’s truly refreshing to be able to clean up the litter and debris so that kids in the Shady Shores and Corinth area can still have an awesome lakefront to explore.”
This project was coordinated by Katie Klein with the Town of Shady Shores, who identified the dump site and reached out for help. MGJR had previously worked with the town on tire collection efforts and plans to participate in similar events again soon.

Community Impact
Impact: 150 lbs of debris removed from a public space.
Benefit: Cleaner, safer, and more inviting recreational area for fishing, walking, and family outings.
Special Thanks
A huge thank you to Katie Klein with the Town of Shady Shores for organizing the project and to the local community for their ongoing support in keeping Shady Shores clean.
