Giving Back to Denton: Our Day at the Great American Cleanup

At Mean Green Junk Removal, we believe in giving back to the community that raised us. Denton has given us so much — great clients, meaningful work, and a place to grow. Because of that, we jumped at the chance to take part in this year’s Great American Cleanup.

Why We Participated

Our motivation was simple: we wanted to serve the city that has supported us. The Great American Cleanup gave us a chance to show up, get our hands dirty, and make a real difference alongside other Denton locals.

What We Did at the Event

We had seven of our crew members on site, plus our media team to help document the day. Our job was to assist volunteers by loading up the dumpsters with everything they collected.

The energy was high all day. People were excited to be there, and it showed. Everyone had one goal — to make Denton cleaner and more beautiful.

We loaded up all kinds of trash — bottles, cans, clothing, bagged garbage, even shopping carts. It was amazing to see how much the volunteers were able to gather from parks, alleys, and roadways.

One surprise moment? A contractor tried to dump remodeling debris. Thankfully, the event team quickly stepped in. The focus stayed right where it needed to be — on community impact.
