Former Students Give Back: Mean Green Junk Removal Sponsors Stephens Elementary Field Day Shirts

Mean Green Junk Removal gave back to their roots by sponsoring custom field day t-shirts for students at Stephens Elementary School in Denton, TX. This sponsorship ensured that every child could participate with matching shirts, fostering school spirit and inclusivity.

The Story

“As kids, my close friend and business partner Karsen Wingate and I grew up at Stephens Elementary,” said Trevan Fenner, owner of Mean Green Junk Removal. “We loved the field days and running events we had every year. Being able to give back and sponsor these shirts is the least we could do to support the next generation of students.”

The connection came through Savanna Phillips, a teacher at Stephens and the girlfriend of one of MGJR’s employees. When she mentioned a need for a t-shirt sponsor, MGJR stepped in without hesitation.

Community Impact

Impact: 100+ shirts provided for students at no cost.

Benefit: Equal participation for all students and strengthened community-school ties.
